On the slopes of Pritchard Hill in St Helena, Chappellet Estate Winery consistently sets the standard for high-elevation hillside planting.
Pritchard Hill gets its name from the first settler in this part of Napa Valley, Charles Pritchard. He was the first to plant grapes on the property in 1882.
Donn and Molly Chappellet began their winemaking legacy in 1967 with Chenin Blanc. The grape, along with Cabernet Sauvignon, was planted on the property by the previous owner, Ed Harton. The release of Chappelett’s first Cabernet Sauvignon came the following year. It continues to be the winery’s flagship wine decades later, as Donn and Molly’s children lead operations.
With more than five decades of winemaking, Chappellet is releasing its NFT on November 3rd. Benefits of the NFT include an opportunity to experience the magic of the property with a Chappellet Vineyard Safari, which consists of an ATV tour of Pritchard Hill (weather permitting). Guests also receive a vertical library tasting of the Signature Cabernet Sauvignon and have first access to future Chappellet NFT drops.
The NFT wine club is the result of Cuvée Collective working with Dapper Labs on the technology behind the platform using the Flow blockchain. Flow is the leading blockchain platform for NBA Top Shot, NFL All Day and Crypto Kitties.
As part of the release, SOMM TV is partnering with Cuvée Collective to give wine enthusiasts a behind-the-scenes look at the Wine NFT experience.
